LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!
Yup. 4 Hawaiian papayas, 50 cents apiece. No freaking joke! Why? Because they're...ripe. I know. I feel like I'm trapped in some sort of awesome paradox, but it's actually happening. Real life really does rock this hard.
I also found a little produce market in Citrus Heights that had some smaller, slightly underripe mangoes for 50 cents each, as well, and I picked up a few. I swear, it's almost like the fruit WANTS to find me.
Yesterday I ate:
Breakfast: You know the drill. Juice of 11 oranges, carrots, chard, yada yada...
Lunch: Fruit salad of 1/2 pineapple, 1 large mango, and 4 bananas
Dinner: Soup of blended pineapple, tomatoes, dates, celery, and red pepper. I didn't care for it so much, probably because my blender is finally dying and it just can't get it smooth like the Vitamix/Blendtec crowd can. The flavor was good, though. I think basil would have made it amazing!
Snack: 1 avocado
I just got back in from my first run of the year! Whenever the weather gets too hot or too cold, I switch to indoor workouts, but the temperatures here in California are already getting more bearable. I'm easing back into this gradually with the 13 week walk-run program.
All right, peoples, it's time for me to get back to living.
